Rhino poaching worldwide is on the rise, according to a new report by TRAFFIC and the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Demand for Rhino horns is being driven by Middle Eastern and Asian countries where some consider it to have medicinal purposes. The report documents the decrease in the effectiveness of law enforcement and the ongoing increase in poaching activities.
